The Next Generation. Congratualtions to Andrew Woodend and Kathryn Yates who are celebrating the birth of their daughter today. Holly Ann Woodend was born at 8.58am today weighing 7lbs 13oz.

5th Dan. Congratulations to Sensei Mike Greaves who was promoted to 5th Dan at the weekend. The grade was awarded during the annual interclub autumn gashuku, which was held at Golden Sands Holiday Park in Mablethorpe, Licolnshire. Well done to everyone who participated in the event, hope everyone enjoyed the weekend.

Gashuku Venue Change. The location of the autumn gashuku has been changed, the course will now be held at Golden Sands Holiday Park in Mablethorpe, check the diary page for more details.

Kids Summer Course. The annual kids summer course started today, well done to all those who are participating and enjoy the rest of the week.

Kata Course Cancelled. Due to the recent venue changes, it has not been possible to arrange a venue for the upcoming kata course (Scheduled for 17th September), therefore the event has been cancelled.

More Venue Changes. Wednesday night training sessions will alternate between Walkington House (Vane Terrace) and Galaxy Suite (North Road) until christmas, check out the venues page for a full list of which venue venue will be used on which dates.

Here's a bit of good news for all you under 16's. The cost of this years kids summer course (which will be held at the Dolphin Center on the 4th - 8th August) has been reduced from £40 each to £10 each. Christmas Break. All karate lessons will be cancelled for 2 weeks over the christmas period. The last lesson before the break will be this thursday (20th December) and lessons will resume in the new year on monday 7th Jan. On behalf of Sukona I wish everyone a very Happy Christmas.

Happy birthday to Sukona Karate Online. This website has now been up and running for 1 year. The current website redesign is in honour of it's 1st birthday and also in honour of our new Dan grades. So I'm sure you'll all join me to say "Happy Birthday".
